This piece is done completely from imagination (hence the title). I started with fun and crazy mark making in acrylic and really saw it as a vase of flowers so I painted the vase and flowers in oil over it leaving a lot of the acrylic showing. The vase itself is indicated only by the highlights on the glass and cutting it a bit with a background color. It is only from so many years of painting what I see, can I understand this concept. I liked the effect of letting the flowers break up here and there. It keep the energy and vitality of the process which I love!
