Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
How can I purchase a work of art on this site?
The website has been enabled to use the PayPal system for payment of the available artworks on this site. You can use your Paypal account or choose to use a major credit card instead. Once you purchase a work of art through this system, we will be notified via email. Once we recieve verification of payment, will ship usually within 4 days. Shipping costs will be charged at the time you check out through paypal. Applicable taxes (residents of Illinois and Indiana) may be charged at a later date, if it was not done through the Paypal system. You will receive an email or phone call if this is the case.
Please understand that because we also sell the work in galleries, through the studio, and at art fairs in some cases the paintings may have already sold or be on hold for another collector. You will be notified of this as soon as possible. If this is the case, you can choose another work of art or your paypal account can be fully refunded.
Can I purchase artwork in other ways?
Yes. You can call my studio directly at (309) 698-9336 or contact me through the contact page on this site. You can use a credit card or send a check and the painting can be shipped after the payment has been received and verified. We are currently unable to accept international credit cards. If a gallery is listed for the painting, please call the gallery directly and they will be happy to assist you in purchasing the work. If that is the case, please refer the them for terms and conditions of sale.
What if I don't like the work after it arrives?
Most of my patrons are repeat collectors and I understand the value of your satisfaction. I want you to be satisfied with the painting (s) you purchase. Although this has never happened, if, for some reason, the painting is not to your satisfaction, please call the studio (309) 698-9336 within 5 days to inform me of your decision. In some cases, the frame is all that needs to be changed and we can work with you on this. You can also return it for credit on another painting or return it for a full refund to the account you used or, if payed by check, a refund by check. Refunds will be made only after payment verification has been achieved. All shipping costs are your responsibility. This policy is only applicable to purchases made from Tracey Frugoli. If you have purchased a painting from one of the galleries, their return policy will apply.
Can I make payments on a work of art?
Yes. This is a great way to make sure you get the work you want before it is sold to someone else without breaking your budget. Generally, patrons make payments over a 3-6 month period. We can make arrangements to suit your needs within that time frame. You will be asked to sign a layaway agreement. There is no fee for this option. You can send a check for your payment or we can charge your credit card at the intervals you request (sorry, no Paypal for layaway). When the painting is paid off, we will ship or deliver it to you. Shipping and applicable taxes are extra. Please call or use the contact page to inquire about placing a painting on layaway. (309) 699-9336.
What are the shipping charges?
The Paypal system has been enabled to charge for shipping of the works you purchase online. The shipping rates include insurance and are as follows:
Price Range Shipping Cost
$0.01-149.99 $15.00
$150-299.99 $25.00
$300-699.99 $35.00
$700-998.99 $45.00
$999-and up $65.00
In rare cases, paintings with frames that are very large may require an extra fee or special handling. We will inform you of this as soon as possible. These are domestic US shipping rates exlcuding Hawai and Alaska. For shipping out of the country, please contact us as each situation is different.
What Are Your Prices Based on and are They Subject to Change?
Like most artists, my prices are based on square inch and they do go up, generally once a year. This happens as my career advances and collectors continue to show interest in my work. It ensures collectors that the work they buy today will appreciate in value. Sometimes a gallery may have consigned a work before my prices went up for that year. If I get that painting back, the price will then be raised to be in line with my current price structure. This means that you can sometimes get a painting from a gallery at a lower price than I would offer it for sale.
Can I Buy a Work Unframed?
Yes. I subtract 10% of the price of the work to sell it unframed. This is not an option with PayPal, so you will need to contact me by phone or email.
